Mandy Racine takes inspiration from the Old Masters and injects her own contemporary twist. Her work is playful and modern but retains the glamour and sophistication of the high Baroque style.
'I'm especially drawn to the composition, colors & fabrics and like to put my contemporary twist on it. Painting in a very expressive way, abstract elements are explored in these figurative subjects and the spaces in between. Using a variety of media such as acrylic, charcoal, plaster & pastel.
I'm constantly experimenting with textures & layers to convey flow & movement. Throughout my artistic career I've exhibited widely across the UK and Europe in both group and solo shows, as well as having work regularly published. My work can be found in private collections around the world”.
